Steve Girden is a third-generation Westporter whose grandfather settled and started his business in the Saugatuck area in 1911. As such, Steve is familiar with the Westport area and (as a lifelong resident) the entirety of Fairfield County as well. Steve graduated from Bucknell University in 1983 and then went straight to Wall Street as an equity trader. His years of commuting to NYC have resulted in a genuine understanding of the needs of people looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life for a more peaceful environment.
After 30 years, Steve left Wall Street to take his place in his family’s commercial real estate business at the Westport Train Station. During this time, he used his expertise to cultivate and bring much-needed revitalization to the Saugatuck area in the form of a mixed-use transportation-oriented development.
Steve is a fixture in Westport and loves meeting new people. You can usually find him striking up a conversation at one of the wonderful restaurants in the area or on the golf course. Westport and the surrounding county are Steve’s passions, and he truly enjoys introducing prospective buyers to everything the area has to offer. He is a straight shooter, but he strives to make sure that the real estate transaction process is as easy as having a glass of wine on the beach (his favorite activity).
Steve is very loyal and genuinely cares about people and their well being. He has always been involved in charities, most recently with organizations benefitting Cancer research and Alzheimer’s Disease. Steve will be your trusted and dedicated advocate when it comes to accomplishing your real estate goals.
